Rodrigo Lopez talked to his cousins Barnard and Cho to form a band. On February 28, 2013, they started to jam for fun, and discovered that they really have a good chemistry on making their own music, so on that same day, they sat down and arranged their first original song titled, “Say Goodbye.” Barnard started making the guitar riffs as Rod compose his lyrics, and Cho played along with his groovy drum fills.

What started as an occasional jam turned serious. The wolfpack decided to take it to the next level and started recruiting band members. Their first lead guitarist was Francis Trilles, and Tin Luna played the bass. They were invited by their drummer Cho. They played with the band for a while and had sessions with them on live recording of their song “Say Goodbye” at Impluwensya Recording Studio. However, they have other commitments so they invited Mico and Loi to play for them on a gig at Boso Boso Highland Resort in Antipolo. Unfortunately, Mico and Loi couldn’t stick with the band for some reasons, because they too, had other commitments. Looking for replacements, Cho and Barnard invited Aldrin Alvarez to play for them and Christian Pedro tagged along. Finally, they were able to form a band and found their chemistry in making songs.

ELCID was the former name of the band, but it was decided later by Rod, Barnard, and Cho Lopez to change it to SIDHAYA. Since then, they are making their own songs and happily played along with their bandmates, made friends with other bands, and started living what life has to offer.
