Datu’s Quest Game DevLog

Datu’s quest is my first Indie game project. This is my test for myself to accomplish working on a solo indie game project and apply what I’ve learned so far in Unity Game Development.

I wanted to be able to follow the process from pre-production of games to prototype releasing.

Datu’s quest is a 2d Metroidvania based on Philippine monsters and mythology. I’m still working on the story line.

I’m aiming that this will be ready for play testing around August 16. As a way to rinse and repeat my learning process for game development. I’m doing at least 1 hour of coding and posting my progress on a daily basis just to be consistent in repeating some Unity concepts that can help me improve my coding with C# and familiarization with different game development skills I want to improve on. I’m currently on my Day 50, on the date I’ve posted this and I will try to continuously make updates on the playlist until August 16 release of the prototype for testing.
